Surf Zone
Learn how to launch and land from beaches with surf with style and grace. Bracing and other skills learned in the surf zone are essential for controlling your boat in rougher, open water conditions. This class will also review various capsize recovery techniques. Prerequisites: EITHER Intro to Sea Kayaking AND Re-Entry and Rescues OR Basic Skills for Touring Kayaks OR Basic Skills for Sit on Top Kayaks OR equivalent instruction. Includes wetsuit, all gear and kayak. Instructors are ACA trained. A minimum 2 people are required for the class, or available by private instruction.
