This short tour is a perfect, quick getaway for beginners to discover the wonderful sea otters, seals, sea lions and variety of shorebirds. Elkhorn Slough Natural History Tour - 3 Hours

Take a little more time to experience nature and the uniqueness of this 2nd largest estuary in California. Enjoy the peace and beauty as you paddle amidst the sea otters, harbors seals, sea lions, and shorebirds. Recommended for beginners and children ages 12 and up. Monterey Bay Natural History Tour - 3 Hours

Explore the dynamic and historic Monterey waterfront by sea kayak! Kelp beds, sea otters, sea lions, harbor seals and shorebirds are just some of the highlights you'll experience as you cruise along the protected shores of Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row. Recommended for beginners and children age 12 and up. Includes sit-inside double kayaks, paddling jacket, lifejacket and all gear. Wear quick drying clothing, water shoes and hat. Bring change of clothing, just in case!

Birding Tour - Elkhorn Slough

Each season throughout the year yields different bird varieties and behaviors. From giant Great Blue Herons to tiny Plovers, over 300 species of birds can be viewed during these exciting and informative three-hour tours. Our knowledgeable staff will help identify and discuss the fascinating behaviors of the many bird species you will encounter on this unique paddling experience. Includes sit-inside double kayaks, paddling jackets, pants, lifejackets and all kayak gear. Wear quick drying clothing, water shoes and hats.

Sunday Sunrise Paddle - Monterey

Gain a new early morning perspective on the Monterey Bay by kayak! Recommended for ages 13 and older.
Includes kayak of your choice, wetsuit, paddling jacket, lifejacket and all kayak gear. Wear bathing suit, quick drying clothing, and water shoes.

Offered every Sunday morning, year round at 7:00 to 9:00 am.

Sunset Tour - Elkhorn Slough

The sky and water are bathed in a beautiful light—a great time to join the marine life and enjoy this peaceful part of the day!

You might get a little splashed, so paddling jackets, pants, life jackets and all kayak gear are included.
Wear lightweight, quick drying tops and bottoms to adjust for weather, shoes that can get wet, towel, and dry clothes for when you return (just in case).

Ride the Tide Tour - Elkhorn Slough

Trips are scheduled during the days of the winter and spring with the biggest tidal differences of more than 6 feet. It's a wonderful opportunity to view bird activity during the low tides, as well as see more of the slough with less effort. We will shuttle to launch from Kirby Park after high tide, and glide our kayaks with the increasing current towards Moss Landing's North Harbor. Previous experience recommended but not required. Includes sit-inside double kayaks, wetsuits,paddling jackets,pants, lifejackets and all kayak gear.

Offered Oct - March on select dates, approx 3 1/2 hours long.

Full Moon Tour - Elkhorn Slough

Come join us each month for a magical blend of moonlight, water and kayaking on the Elkhorn Slough. We'll head out as the sun begins to set and then explore the area under a silver sky. A special and memorable experience.
Offered monthly on these select dates, approx 2 1/2 hours in duration.

Kayaking and Yoga - Monterey

Need some balance in your boat or in your life?  In this class you will develop strength, stability, and stamina by doing yoga on beach and working up a sweat paddling on the beautiful Monterey Bay.  But this experience is not just about fitness - it is also a great opportunity to view wildlife on the bay with a guide who is also a certified yoga instructor!  Join us for two hours of paddling and an hour of yoga. Previous experience recommended but not required. Includes kayak of your choice, wetsuit, paddling jacket, lifejacket and all kayak gear. Wear bathing suit, quick drying clothing, water shoes and hat.

Full Slough Paddle

This all day paddle will take you from the mouth of the Elkhorn Slough in Moss Landing all the way back to Kirby Park and beyond! This is an excellent opportunity to experience the wealth of wildlife the slough has to offer.

Paddle Point Lobos

Once described as "The Greatest Meeting of Land and Sea" Point Lobos offers some of the finest kayaking and nature viewing in the west coast. Head out on the water with our ACA instructors to explore our nations oldest marine reserve. Required pre-requisite: Basic Skills or equivalent training. Includes kayak of your choice, wetsuits, and all gear.

Pt Pinos Paddle

Stretch your muscles and challenge yourself with this exciting coastal trip led by our ACA instructor/guides. Paddle from our shop out along the coast twords Pt Pinos.
