Our small class sizes allow ample time for practice and personal attention, and our course completion cards make it easy to track your progress.
All of our course instructors are trained by the American Canoe Association (ACA).
Prices include: wetsuit, life jacket, paddling jacket, safety gear, paddle and kayak.

Beginning Level - open- or closed-deck kayaks
An easy start to sea kayaking! This half day class covers balancing and bracing to enhance your stability and confidence in a boat. You learn basic strokes and safety issues pertinent to beginning sea kayakers. Your choice of open deck or closed deck kayaks.
No experience required.

Beginning Level - closed-deck kayaks
Two classes in one, combining Intro to Sea Kayaking and Re-Entry Techniques into one full-day class. Learn the basics needed to rent closed deck kayaks for calm water paddling including: balancing, bracing, strokes, safety issues and capsize recovery.
No experience required.

Beginning Level - open-deck kayaks

 — Re-entry Techniques —
Beginning Level - open- or closed-deck kayaks
Learn how to get back in your boat or help someone else get back in with the paddle float recovery and T-rescue. This class focuses on skills for closed deck boats, but open deck kayakers are welcome.
Prerequisite: Intro to Sea Kayaking, or equivalent training

— Surf Zone Part One —
Beginning Level - open- or closed-deck kayaks
 Learn how to launch and land from beaches with surf. Control your boat in small to moderate size waves. Pure fun for open and closed deck kayakers. This class also reviews capsize recoveries.
Prerequisites:
EITHER Intro to Sea Kayaking OR Basic Skills Closed Deck
AND
EITHER Re-Entry Techniques OR equivalent instruction

 — Surf Zone Part Two —
Intermediate Level - open- or closed-deck kayaks
This class is highly recommended for those who will venture out of protected waters. Breaking waves, unexpected surges, rip tides and many other open water conditions, can be handled with skills developed in this class. Your choice of open deck or closed deck kayak.

— Eskimo Rolling —
Intermediate Level - closed-deck kayaks
 
The ultimate self-rescue for closed deck kayaks, this class is invaluable for improving bracing skills which can prevent capsizes. We teach in salt water using sea kayaks for the best approximation of real paddling scenarios.
